

KAYE A. CARTWRIGHT, 72, a long-time resident of Leo, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011. Born Nov. 29, 1938, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Tilman and Clara (Gilliom) Fleuc kiger. She graduated from Berne-French High School in 1956. On July 26, 1965, she married.Thomas Cartwright. She retired in 1995 from Grabill Bank after 25 years , having served in a variety of capacities such as teller and new accounts. She always enjoyed interacting with her customers. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Grabill. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending recent winter months in Frostproof, Fla. She loved to read, go to movies with friends, shop (especially for shoes and purses), and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tom; children, Lisa Ruth (Randy) Baker of Westbrook, Minn., Lisa Anne (Mark) King of Fort Wayne, David (Debra) Cartwright of Wheaton, Ill., and Cheryl (Randy) Kincaid of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Danielle, Tanner, Chase, Natalie, Chelsea, Aaron, Jenna, Hanna, and Cody; brother, Roger (Mary) Flueckiger of Monroe, Ind.; sister-in-law, Nancy Flueckiger of Santa Barbara, Calif.; brother-in-law, Donald (Beth) Cartwright of Angola; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Flueckiger "She will be dearly missed by her many neighbors and friends for whom she was quite fond." Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12640 St. Joe Road, Grabill, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Rodney Schmeltz officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Leo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
