

Kenneth "Tex" Wacasey, 89, of Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. Tex was born on October 28, 1935, in White Oak, Texas, a son of the late Alexander and Birdie (Black) Wacasey. He attended and graduated from East Mountain High School in Texas. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He worked at International Harvester in Fort Wayne for 21 years before retiring. He was a lifelong fisherman and enjoyed Memorial Day camping trips with his family. Surviving family include his children, Kimberly M. Wacasey, Kenneth Richard "Rick" (Monika) Wacasey, Kevin L. Wacasey, and Kelly (Tim) Kinney; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brother, Franklin; half-brother, Alexander; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, Tex was preceded in passing by his wife, Lenna Mae (Oldfield) Wacasey; and several sisters and brothers. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors. Memorials in Tex's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
