Kenneth R. Wood

KENNETH R. WOOD, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Coesse, Ind., he was the son of the late Jesse and Hilda Wood. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was the owner of Ace Radiator over 50+ years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church; American Legion Post 82 for 52 years; and VFW Post 2457. "Kenneth loved his family and grandchildren; he taught them how to love." Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Catherine A. Wood; son, John (Penny) Wood of Fort Wayne; daughter, Dianna Wood of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Dana (Cody) Statler, Haley (Ben) Heath and Kelly Wood (Fiance, Garrett Wiejak); great-grandchildren, Briana Cook, Mya Statler, Jayda Statler, and Cody Statler; and sisters, Betty Osterholt, Helen Mowan and Rosie Miller. "A special thanks to Parkview (ICU) nurses and staff." Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
