Klaus P. Kroeber, 78, of Fort Wayne, received his angel wings on October 16, 2018. He was born on August 18, 1940, in Wintersdorf, Germany to the late Fritz and Frieda Kroeber. He was an active member of A.A. for almost 50 years. He retired from Werner’s Garage as a mechanic that worked on Mercedes-Benz.
He is survived by his sister, Irmhild (Werner) Niederholtmeyer; brother, Karl-Heinz (Laurie) Kroeber; daughters, Michelle (Chris) Zuber, Lynda (George) Fields, LuAnne Applegate, and Laurie Northrup; sons, Timothy Kroeber, and Larry Applegate; grandchildren, Jessica, Raven, Jennifer, James, Emerson, Kip, Tommy, Stephanie, Heather, Blanch, Kendra, Donnie, and Sarah; 12 great-grandchildren, with two more coming in 2019. He was also preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Janice M. Kroeber; and great-grandson, Little Vincent Michael Smith.
Funeral service will be 11am, Monday, October 22, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 2-6pm, Sunday, October 21, at the church. Memorial donations may be given to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne or Heartland Home Health and Hospice, IV Care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
