

Lambert Raymond Dumask, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born April 4, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wis., he was a son of the late Raymond and Modesta “Manda” (Polezynska) Damask. A graduate of Antigo High School, he furthered his education in Electronics at the Indiana Institute of Technology. Lambert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for nearly two years during WWII. He was a supervisor of electronic maintenance equipment with the United States Postal Service for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1984. He attended St. Jude Catholic Church and was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Associations (NARFE) and the American Legion Post 47 for over 60 years. He is survived by his daughters, Jane (Kenneth) Bramblett of Lago Vista, Texas, Mary (David) Sarrazin of Angola, Ind., Jill Schenkel of Fort Wayne, and Teresa Dumask of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; brother, Chester Dumask of Presque Isle, Wis.; sister, Violet Fisher; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by the loves of his life, Gwendolyn Kayser and Geraldine Graft; son, James Dumask; granddaughter, Donna Sarrazin; grandson, Chad Dumask; and brother-in-law, John Fisher. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 2-4 & 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary Service beginning at 3:30pm. Graveside Service will be 1pm on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Lakeside Cemetery, IN-827, Fremont, Ind. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 47, or to the masses.
