
LARRY" J. GRAHAM, 82, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at his residence. Born in Bad Axe, Mich., he was the son of the late Carl and Hazel Graham. He was a Boy Scout Executive for both the Anthony Wayne Council of Fort Wayne and the Madison Wisconsin Council. He attended school in Port Huron, Mich.; and graduated from Central Michigan University and Saint Francis University of Fort Wayne. He was a teacher with Fort Wayne Comminity Schools, retiring after 28 years of service in 1990. After retirement, Larry and Genevieve moved to Lake Pleasant. He enjoyed Boy Scouting for 70 years; reading, fishing, camping, traveling (spending winters in Ocala, Florida) where he was a member of "Wood Chippers" a wood carving group. He was active in the Community of Christ Church; was a church/school leader ministering to youth groups in Fort Wayne and Florida. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Genevieve; children, Kathy (Ed) Ferguson and Jim C. (Annette) Graham; grandchildren, Adam Ferguson, Elizabeth Graham and Andrew Graham; sister, Florence (Gerald) Scheffler of Port Huron, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Graham. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at Community of Christ Church, 3223 Hobson Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
