Leann M. Frericks

Leann M. Frericks, 65, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away comfortably on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Leann was born on October 19, 1959, in Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Raymond “Ray” B. and Savannah P. (Gabbard) Wanley. She graduated from Northrop High School in 1978. She was employed at North American Van Lines and the Frericks Insurance Center while raising her daughters. In her early working career and right before retiring she made a wonderful waitress, Leann could brighten just about anyone’s day. Her hobbies' included spending time with her family, Stephen King books, and puzzles & brain games. Surviving family include her daughters, Elizabeth Frericks and Emma Frericks; grandsons, Daxton and Henry; brother, Todd (Margarete) Wanley; sister-in-law, Barbara; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by the father of her children, Gregory P. Frericks. We’ll be gathering to celebrate her beautiful soul on July 29, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. At 2:00 pm, there will be a special time set aside for prayer and sharing stories, honoring the memories and moments that meant so much. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
