Linda Marie Knappenberger

LINDA MARIE KNAPPENBERGER, 44, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday. Sept. 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 5, 1969 in Fort Wayne. She was a Registered Nurse in the Family Birthing Center at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, David L; daughters, Jill C. Knappenberger and Lauren E. Knappenberger; son, Joshua D. Knappenberger all at home; sisters, Kathy (Amar) Masri, Teri (Mike) Maciejewski and Susan Smethers all of Fort Wayne; brothers Lawrence P. (Rene) Smethers of Peoria, Ill., Kenneth C. (Karen) Smethers of West Burough, MA, and Steve J. (Mary Kay) Smethers, & Tom A. (Molly) Smethers both of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents , Lawrence M. and Patricia A. Smethers. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church 1502 E. Wallen Rd., with calling one hour prior. Rev. Father Polycarp Fernando officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept., 29, 2013 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
