LOIS RUTH RODENBECK, 80, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at Heritage Park Nursing Home. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was a teacher at Holy Cross Lutheran School, retiring in 1992. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ronald P. Rodenbeck; son, Al (Jill) Rodenbeck of Fort Wayne; daughter, Carol (Bob) Robbins; and grandchildren, Drew, Joe, Jaelle, and Aaron. "Lois's life was founded on her firm faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her desire to serve him. She always sought opportunities to strengthen that faith, as in faithful attendance at worship services and through Bible studies shared with very close friends." Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Mark Neubacher officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
