Lonney Ray Kunnemann

Lonney R. Kunnemann, 65, of New Haven, passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at his home. Born on June 11, 1948 in Imperial, NE, he was a son of the late Raymond and Berdeen (Guhn) Kunnemann, who survives. Upon graduating from New Haven High School, he served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. On June 17, 1972, he married the love of his life, Karen, and started a family. Lonney worked for NAPA for many years and retired in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Karen Kunnemann; son, Erich (Lonnilei) Kunnemann of New Haven, Ind.; daughter, Laura (Joseph) Krans of New Haven, Ind.; grandson, Coen Kunnemann; brothers, Ritchie (Nancy) Kunnemann of Fort Wayne and Steve (Karen) Kunnemann of Broomfield, Co.; sisters, Patricia (Denny) Smith and Debra Davis both of New Haven, Ind.; 19 nieces and nephews; and dog, Radar. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 3, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be on Monday June 2 from 2 – 4pm and 6 - 8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
