Obituary of Lou Ann Beauchamp Butler
LOU ANN BEAUCHAMP BUTLER, 77, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at The Cedars, Leo. Born July 15, 1935, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Paul and A. Ruth (Smith) Beauchamp. As a grandmother, she returned to college, graduating from I.P.F.W. She enjoyed writing, was an active genealogist and member of D.A.R. Important to her were the many Sunday evenings spent with the couples from Our Lady of Good Hope Small Christian Community. She loved being a part of the endeavors and activities of her children and grandchildren. Following retirement from the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce in 1997, winters were spent in Venice, Fla. attending the Epiphany Cathedral of Venice. Surviving are her son, Dan Butler of Auburn, and his children, Braden (Jessica) and their sons, Jacob, Nicholas and Elaina; Whitney (Kyle) Hornsby and their children, Reed and Riley of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Rosan Matrisciano (Lou) and their children, Joy (Chad) of Columbia City; Laura and Louis of Leo, Ind.; Curt (Jodi) Butler and their children, Cayla, Kendra and Bryce of Leo, Ind.; and David and Mary Butler and their children, Nikki and Luke of Fort Wayne, Ind. Also surviving are her brother, Jerry Beauchamp (Sara) and their family. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Brent Joseph Butler and Bryan Scot Butler. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Father Mark Gurtner officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Our Lady of Good Hope Building Fund.
