Madonna J. Murphy

Madonna Jean "Donna" Murphy, age 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was born on February 16, 1932 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Ivan R. Miller and Bertha J. (Faulkner) Mader. She was married to her late husband, Robert Murphy, for 65 years prior to his passing in 2017. Donna was the co-owner of Excel, a temporary employment agency. She was known for being a generous, happy soul, who enjoyed singing, dancing, jokes, bowling, and anything related to Mickey Mouse. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Bruce) Bennett; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murphy; her son, Mark Murphy; and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835, with visitation one hour prior. A visitation will also be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial to follow services at Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Mass contributions may be made to Our Lady of Good Hope.
