

Marcile R. Reichhart, 85, of Woodburn, IN, passed away on June 3, at Golden Years Homestead. Born on December 14, 1930, she was the daughter of Gerhard Gerbers and Frieda (Schaper) Gerbers. Marcile graduated from Woodburn High School in 1948 and was a resident of Woodburn her entire life. Marcile retired from BF Goodrich and Macys. After retirement she volunteered at Parkview Hospital for 12 years in the gift shop. Marcile was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Christ Lutheran Women’s Society. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, crocheting and quilting. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Clarence Reichhart, daughter Barbara Stauffer of Fort Wayne, son David (Patricia) Reichhart of Columbia City, granddaughters Jodi Brock, Brooke McGee and Rachel Pritz,; grandsons, Gregory Reichhart and Justin Stauffer and 13 great-grandchildren. Also, sisters Dorothy Hover of Henderson, NV, Joan Wells of Woodburn and brother Kenneth Gerbers of Fort Wayne and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Delmar Gerbers and infant brother Howard Gerbers.
Funeral service will be 11am, Wednesday June 8, at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St, Woodburn, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday June 7, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Woodburn Lutheran School, Heartland Hospice or the donor’s choice.
