Margaret Ann Kerekes

Margaret Ann Kerekes, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Kingston at Dupont. Margaret was born October 30, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio to Albert and Helen (Redoway) Kaluczky. She married the love of her life, Csaba “Chuck” Kerekes on May 14, 1966. Margaret was a kind hearted, loving, passionate, and caring person. She worked as a receptionist for Doctor Emery Spisak for over 34 years. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the grandkids. She loved the Navy and watching her twin grandsons play baseball. She enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians baseball games. She also enjoyed planting flowers, shopping, bowling, occasional trips to the casino and many vacations all over the country. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Chuck; two daughters, Susan (Jeffrey) Walls of Fort Wayne and Patricia (Darren) Ledgerwood of Columbia City; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Snell, Korinda (Ryan Replogle) Walls, Michael (Christian Seifert) Walls, Adam Ledgerwood, Tyler Ledgerwood, and Bradley (Laura) Ledgerwood; four great grandchildren, Cobi Snell, Lily Snell, Alayna Ledgerwood, and Preston Ledgerwood; several nieces, one nephew, and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Hiser; brother, Bertram Kaluczky; and her mother in law, Lenke Kerekes. Funeral services celebrating Margaret’s life will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46835. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday before the service. Burial will follow in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
