Mark F. Hennig

Mark F. Hennig, 67, of Ft. Wayne, IN passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital. Mark was born July 26, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son to the late Albert and Erna (Pollert) Hennig. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and received an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Golden West College. Mark worked as a lineman for the telephone company and as a crossing guard for the Ft. Wayne School District. Surviving are his sister, Anne (James) Wunderlich of Libertyville, IL; and a number of nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Hennig and Robert Hennig. Mark loved his family and his family adored him. He was an avid sports fan and a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder. A memorial service and celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Avenue, Ft. Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation prior. There will be a luncheon for family and friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to bethaniakids.org., an organization to help poverty-stricken children in India that was started by his parents.
