Marvin Duane Waters

MARVIN DUANE WATERS, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on May 30, 1934 in Jay County, Ind., he was a son of the late Sidney and Violet (Bond) Waters. After graduation, Marvin served in the United States Army for four years. He graduated from the University of Corpus Christi with a Bachelor Degree in Business and was the President/CEO of Midwest America Federal Credit Union for 26 years, from which he retired. He was a member of the American Legion Post 296 for over 57 years and was a member of The Elks. He enjoyed bingo, gambling, and traveling. He is survived by his sons, Scott (Charlotte) Waters and Brian (Kelly) Waters, both of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Curtis, Heather, Jasmine, and Dallas; and one great-granddaughter, Leona. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Lou (Champ) Waters; and two brothers. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at the funeral home. Entombment in Lindenwood Cemetery following the service.
