Mary L. Lieberman Brandt, 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She was born on June 18, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Shirley (Hays) Lieberman. After earning two Bachelor degrees from IPFW, she worked as a customer service representative at Macy’s for many years. Mary was also well known for creating many types of ceramics but most notably her toad houses. She belonged to numerous book clubs, as well as the Pine Valley and Heritage Oak Country Clubs. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, reading, running, gardening, crossword puzzles, feeding the birds, and traveling. Surviving family includes her husband and life partner, John Brandt; siblings, Greg Lieberman, Judith (Robert) Chessin, and Theresa (John) Bux; sister-in-law, Barbara (John) Waszak; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her sister, Clare Strahm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
