

MARY JO TIPPMANN, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away 5:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at St. Anne Home & Retirement Community. She was born Nov. 17, 1923 in Houlton, Maine, a daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Crabbe) Crafts. She graduated from Houlton High School in Houlton, Maine, and retired in 1989 from Waterfield Mortgage as an Insurance Secretary after many years of service. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Rosary Society. Surviving are her sons, Michael (Nancy) Tippmann of Leo, and Timothy (Joanne) Tippmann of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Leona Briggs of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent O. Tippman; two sisters, Dorothy Barlock, and Margaret Fitzpatrick; one brother, Leo Crafts. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Father Jacob Meyer officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Burial at Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Masses.
