N. Gregg Jackson

Born in Muncie, Indiana, in 1944, Gregg was the son of the late Norman Jackson and Maxine Pond. He proudly served in the U.S. Army where he met his lifelong friend, Wayne. Upon returning home to Fort Wayne, he married Joyce and they began raising a family together. He went on to build a career with Sears Corporation, working as a repairman and later a manager. In his free time, he enjoyed family time, fishing, sailing, and always had a project underway — he lived for the next opportunity to fix something or help family, friends, or neighbors with their projects.

Gregg is survived by his children, Amy (John) and Jeff (Angie); along with his beloved grandchildren; Joyce; half-sisters, Jill and Jacque; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents; his sister, Juliann; and half-sister, Jeanette.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with a welcoming visitation of family and friends beginning at 1:00 pm.
