Norman R. Wade

Norman R. Wade, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on March 4, 2015. Born on July 17, 1932, in Fort Wayne he was a son of the late M. Ross and Lillian Wade. He proudly served his country in the Army and retired from Navistar after several years of service. He is survived by his children, N. Scott (Susan) Wade, Susan (Peter) Nielsen and Sarah (Joel) Van Pelt; mother of his children, Emmalee Wade; sisters, Carol (Rev. Roy) Rinehard and Donna (Dale) Getz; brother, David (Norma) Wade; and ten grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Ann (Gary) Welker. Funeral service will be 11 am Monday March 9, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Cresent Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 5 to 8pm Sunday March 8, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Concordia Lutheran High School Athletic Programs or Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne.
