Paul C. Lange

PAUL C. LANGE, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Ashton Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born July 15, 1926, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Paul W. and Clara (Koenig) Lange. Paul retired from G.E. in 1988 after 44 years of service; he belonged to the G.E. Quarter Century Club. As a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, he served as an usher and participated in Men's Club and OWLS. He was a lifelong train enthusiast and involved with the Mid-Michigan Railroad Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Birdene M. Lange of Fort Wayne; son, Mark P. (Susan) Lange of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jason (Bethany) Lange, Justin (Jennifer) Lange, Joel Lange, Jennifer Lange, Jana Lange, Jillian Lange, Jared Lange, and Jeremy Lange; and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Caleb Lange. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Lange. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. The Reverend Douglas Croucher officiating. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens following the service. Preferred memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
