

He was born on May 29, 1939, in Latty, Ohio, a son of the late John and Pauline (Yoakam) Stiebeling. Paul then dedicated much of his working life in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as a skilled millwright, employed by International Harvester and later by General Motors until his retirement.
In his spare time, Paul enjoyed singing in the Harlan Methodist Choir and later with the Summit City Chorus. He loved fishing, boating, camping, and riding both snowmobiles and motorcycles. He was especially skilled at woodworking as a hobby. In his retirement he dedicated much time to volunteering at the American Red Cross helping with blood drives as well as many disasters across the United States. He enjoyed many pets, loved to travel, and was an avid amateur photographer. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and deep generosity to his family.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Stiebeling; daughters Maureen (Marc) Rothenberg, Alyce (Kevin) Yoder, Keri Springer, and Heather (Mark) Church; and 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline, and sister Gloria Hawley.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Burial will take place in Lindenwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be given in Paul's memory to the American Red Cross.
Paul’s warmth, kindness, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
