Richard D Luther

Richard D. Luther, 86, of Fort Wayne died on Saturday November 23, 2013. Born December 21, 1926, he was a son of the late Richard and Rosa (Moritz) Luther. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. He was also Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Thomas Brandon Council #451 and was a member of the Fourth Degree Anthony Wayne Assembly.

He is survived by his children, Mary Ellen (Arnold) Brill, Laurie (Bill) Sedlmeyer, Luke Luther and Julie Luther; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; siblings Betty Robbins, Don Luther and Anne Luther. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lorraine (Glos) and three brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Noon Tuesday November 26, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 518 E. Dewald St., Fort Wayne, with calling from 10:30 AM to Noon. Calling will also be from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM, Monday November 25, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given for masses, or to St. Peter’s Catholic Church Preservation Fund.
