Richard L. "Dick" Roberts

Richard L. “Dick” Roberts, 72, of Fort Wayne passed away on July 31, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 6, 1943, he was a son of the late Frank H. and Vera I. (Mespell) Roberts and attended St. Jude Catholic Church. He was a kind and gentle man of few words. His life was well lived and his commonly held beliefs and opinions, enlightened many, confounded some and taught all of us who listened.

He is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Vickie; and children, Veronica I. (Michael) Coldiron, Monica M. (Joe) Stubbs, Richard L. (Christy) Roberts Jr., Jennifer M. (Scott) Lyons, Jennelle E. (Keith) Hieber, Tricia L. (Robb) Stiver and Justin J.L. (Brandee) Roberts; siblings, Dr. Frank H. (Ann) Roberts, Morris M. Roberts, Candace C. (Michael) Lauber and Connie I. Zuber; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria R. Roberts; siblings, John L. Roberts and Judith D.Christen.

Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday August 5, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday August 4, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
