Richard L. Stockert

Richard Lee Stockert, 83, passed away in the home where he spent his entire life, on November 14, 2020. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on September 5, 1937, the son of the late Russell and Cathern Stockert. Richard served in the U.S. Army, having earned a sharpshooter medal and was honorably discharged on December 4, 1966. He worked at Dana Corporation for over 30 years before his retirement. Richard is survived by his children, Sarah Stockert, Glenn (Amy) Stockert and Dennis (Amy) Stockert; five grandchildren, Will Stockert, Nathan and Alex Stockert, and Allie and Andy Stockert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Stockert. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Rd, Fort Wayne), with calling one hour prior. Burial will take place in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
