Robert was a proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy. He retired as a General Foreman at International Harvester. Robert is survived by his daughters Emily (Troy) Musselman of Kendallville, IN and Janet (John) Wagner of Huntington IN; sisters Lois Jean Wharton of McComb, IL; Betty Ford of Galesburg, IL; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Marie Horwedel in 2001, and a brother George R. Horwedel.
