I remember Bob and Bev during their undergraduate years at Ohio Northern sitting together during class or during Chapel seemingly inseperable.

I knew Bob from his years in S.E. Kansas. Beverly, Bob , my wife Ronnie and I spent many hours together. At Bob’s “Log Cabin for barbecues, or attending to his tractor or cutting fire-wood. He loved out-doors and a dog always at his becon . Whether he was in Church on Sundays, at Sunday brunch at a restaurant in Pittsburg. Or mowing with his “bush-hog”, he was in his element. He looked forward each year to the annual fishing trip to Alberta and being there in God’s presence with his family. He was such a Giving man; always concerned for others from the spiritual to the worldly needs, He was my best friend for most of those days and I look forward to seeing him again. I loved Bob.

Dr. Bob was my first boss at UMKC nearly 40 years ago. He and Dr. Bev became my lifelong friends. I will miss our correspondence and know that Heaven has gained a noble man. I am sad that he is gone from this earth. His memory will always be a very fond one for me.

We met Bob and Sally at the Fort Wayne Guesthouse hotel, restaurant/bar where they would inhabit the middle booth in the back every thursday night. I ( and my family of dance friends/students ) would go there many thursday nights to dance to the oldies ). Sally's love for dance lured Bob in as well and they approached me for lessons a year ago. They lit up the floor with their smiles and their childlike love of life and their flirting for one another. We shared many a laughter and plain ol' fun on the dance floor over the past year and they quickly become members of our dance family. I don't know if I can look back at the same booth ( their booth they called it ) and not see their smiling faces beaming back at us as they held hands. A truly delightful man, I enjoyed teaching him and we will all miss him and Sally very much. They were a gift to me and my friends and I am thankful I got to know him ( and Sally ). Per your request we sent a donation to the CUW school of pharmacy in his memory.

I was a neighbor of Bob and Bevs years ago as a young man. He gave me my first job on their property, mowing and at times taking care of their horses. Bob was a vey nice man and had knowledge on several subjects. Once he learned I was into aviation, he mentioned he dabbled into it once and that I should go to school and explore it. Good memories as a kid.

I didn't have the chance to get to know him very long or very well, I just met him last year, but he was one of the most warm and inviting people I've ever met in my life. I instantly loved him and knew that he and Sally were definitely going to be happy together.

I always looked forward to seeing Hercules at work and enjoyed talking "dog shop" with Robert during drop off and pick up times. I will miss them both and I will be praying for the family members, as well as for Hercules. Robert was always kind to all of us at Pampered Pets, so I can only imagine how good he was to those he loved. God bless you all. I am so sorry you are going through this.
