

ROLAND S. DORSEY, 80, passed from this life surrounded by his living family on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne a son of Sumner and Ruth (Eager) Dorsey, he was employed by International Harvester for 35 years, retiring to become a Florida resident where he had many wonderful friends who will, along with family, miss his presence in their lives. He was a current member of Palmetto United Methodist Drive-in Church, former longtime member of North Scipio United Methodist Church, Harlan, Ind. Past Master of Harlan Masonic Temple #296, worthy Patron of Harlan O.E.S. #335, member of Fort Wayne Mizpah Shrine marching in the Parade of Lights Shrine Club. "He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, and grandfather". Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Carole (Potts) Dorsey; son, Robert (Andre') Dorsey; daughters, Rolana "Missy" Lampe and Sanee Lombardi; he dearly loved his grandchildren, Nicholas Jenks, Mitchell Jenks, Michael Lombardi, Nicholas Lombardi and Madelyn Lombardi; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Mack (Millie) Dorsey; and sister, Betty (Carl) Lucas. A Celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at the North Scipio United Methodist Church, 23628 State Road 37, Harlan, Ind. with lunch following.
