RONALD F. BROWN, 93, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Heritage Park. He was born on Feb. 27, 1917, in Greybull, Wyoming. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he served as elder and usher and had been on their dart ball team. He retired in 1984 as a letter carrier with the United States Post Office. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara (Paul) Ostrander of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Laura, Scott, Sara, and Heidi Ostrander. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 2000; sister, Vivian Neves; and half brother, Howard Brown. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Pastor Richard Maassel officiating. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Preferred memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran School, Concordia Lutheran High School Band or Fort Wayne Area Community Band.
