RUTH I (VAN BLARICOM) DEPPEN, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Heritage Park Nursing Home. She was born Ruth I. Matthews on Aug. 6, 1921, in Ohio City, Ohio. During her years in Fort Wayne, she worked with Central States Beauty Supply, Loos Insurance Agency, Hillman's and the Roller Dome. She attended Good Shephard United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son, Terry Van Blaricom of Fort Wayne; stepchildren, John Deppen of Michigan and Maria (Jane) Kingsley of Florida; eight stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; niece, Carolyn Fegley of Ohio; and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Deppen II; and other beloved family members. Private service and entombment will be held at the Catholic Cemetery.
