Ruth Irene Loy, 86, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. Born on June 21, 1929 in Haviland, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Royal and Helen (Powell) Cotterman. Ruth was a sales associate with A-Z Furniture for over 15 years; from which she retired. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Jack) Dafforn of Ossian, Ind., Kristy (Curt) Lesh, Diann (Steve) Blackmon, and Pam (Andy) Getty, all of Fort Wayne; sons, Ronald Loy of Churubusco, Ind., and Richard (Sherri) Cotterman of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Loy; and son, Terry Loy. A private memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road., Fort Wayne; Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating.
