Ruth married Jack R. Mahlan in 1948 and spent 54 years together until his passing in 2002.
Ruth enjoyed traveling, music, and baking. Any family gathering, spending time with her grandchildren and friends was what she enjoyed most.
She is survived by her children, Kirk A. (Faith) Mahlan, Christopher B. Mahlan, Scott (Shelly) Mahlan, Matthew D. Mahlan, and Janet E. (Carl) Murray; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Lila P. Schlavin.
Private services will be held at a later date.
