Samuel J Marquardt, 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Sam was born on January 23, 1946 in Decatur, Indiana, a son of the late Marcus and Mabel (Webster) Marquardt. He worked as a supervisor for the Ford Motor Company for many years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a long time member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Elks Club, and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving family include his wife of 56 years, Judith Marquardt; brother, Stanley W. Marquardt; sister, Sally A. Byer; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his sister-in-law, Charlotte "Kay" Marquardt. Per Sam's requests, no services will be held at this time. His final resting place will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials in Sam's memory may be made to Parkview Hospice.
