Sara C. Burgos, 58, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Sara was born on October 11, 1964, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Heliodoro and Sara (Galletti) Candelaria. She worked as a teacher assistant for the Chicago Public School System for 30 years. She also worked at Brightpoint Headstart. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and traveling. Surviving family include her husband, Hipolito "Polo" Burgos, Jr; stepdaughter, Amanda Michelle; mother, Sara; sister, Elsie; brothers, Samuel and Francisco; aunt, Maria; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her father, Heliodoro. Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Life Bridge Church, 12719 Corbin Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
