

SUSAN L. CLARK, 62, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her residence. Born Sept. 26, 1950, in Saginaw, Mich., she was a daughter of Lenore Galsterer of Frankenmuth, Mich. and the late Walter Galsterer. She was a substitute teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools. She had previously taught in Troy, Mich. and East Allen County Schools. Susan loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and golfing. Susan had a strong faith and lived a life of service to others, including her devotion to Hand In Hand Preschool Ministry at Epiphany Lutheran Church and Holy Cross Lutheran Church Friendship Ministry. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Also surviving are her husband, Terry J.; daughter, Kelly (Chris) Steffen of Fort Wayne; sons, Greg (Erin) Clark of Fort Wayne and Brent (Jill) Clark of Chesterton, Ind.; grandchildren, Luke and Olivia Steffen, Emily and Hannah Clark; brothers, Fred (Miriam) Galsterer of Caro, Mich., Richard (Nancy) Galsterer of Frankenmuth, Mich. and Edward (Suzanne) Galsterer of Carpinteria, Calif.; and aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ted Galsterer. A Memorial Celebration of Life service is 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Private Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Preferred memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana; Visiting Nurse Hospice Home; or Holy Cross Lutheran Church Friendship Ministry.
