

Theoadora “Teddy” Finkhousen, 96, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday May 15, 2011, at Bethlehem Woods Nursing & Rehab Center. Born April 6, 1915, in Rushville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Walter Beaty and Annes (Wadell) Bear. She and her husband owned a real estate business in Fort Wayne for several years. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church, was Chairman of Volunteers for the Allen/ Wells Chapter of the American Red Cross for over 20 years , Chairman of Volunteers for the Community Harvest Food Bank, a member of the Board of the Allen County Council on Aging , and received Mayoral recognition for volunteer activity in the community. She is survived by several close friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her son, Jack Finkhousen. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tues. May 24, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
