Vanessa Rose Deermer

Vanessa Rose Deermer, 58, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at her home. Born on May 8, 1959, in Huntington, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Rosetta (Rose) Searles. Vanessa attended New Haven High School and worked for over 30 years in childcare. She enjoyed fishing, roller skating and skate dancing. She is survived by her son, Justin (Cassi) Deermer of Fort Wayne; daughter, Coral (Guylon Washington) Deermer of New Haven; five grandchildren, Za’Riyah, Ariana, Karder, Laila, and Penelope; sister, Tracie Purifoy of Westland, Mich.; nephews, Rian (Lindsay) Searles and Randall (Brittany Keim) Mccomb, both of Fort Wayne; and niece, Danielle Mccomb of Fort Wayne.
