WADE T. SMOLA, 66, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Parkview Hospital. Born June 11, 1947, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Frank Smola of Fort Wayne and the late Margaret C. (Berning). He served in the U.S. Marine Corp Hoosier Platoon 1108 and was a graphic designer at Marketing Impact. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Also surviving are his wife, Frances Arlene (Satterthwaite) Smola of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Azure Smola and Ericka (Donald) Jolliff, both of Fort Wayne; sister, Deborah (Steven) Zeigler of Gastonia, N.C.; and brother, Kevin (Cheryl) Smola of San Dimas, Calif. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Doug Croucher of Concordia Lutheran Church officiating.
