Walter E. Stout

WALTER E. STOUT, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Canterbury Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born Dec. 19, 1923 in Richmond, Ind. He retired from the city of Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Dept. He previously had been a Police Officer with the city of Richmond, Ind. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of Messiah Lutheran church and Maumee Lodge #725 F. & A.M. Surviving are his sons, Foster Yencer Jr. of Indianapolis, Gary (Rhonda) Stout of Hartsville, Ala., Dean (Sharon) Stout of Fort Wayne, and Jeffrey Stout of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Stout of Richmond, Ind. He was preceded by his wife, Phyllis who died in 1996. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Maumee Lodge #725 F. & A.M. will have Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials to the church.
