Born January 17, 1943, in Washington County, Billy Ray proudly served his country as an active duty soldier from October 1961 to August 1962, remaining in the Army reserves until May, 1969.
He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company in Louisville and was the past President of St. Vincent de Paul Society in Bossier City, La.

With his quick wit, beautiful smile, and infectious laugh, he embraced countless friends and family members. His generosity of spirit was rooted in living with his grandmother Mary Joseph Clements on the family farm in Springfield.
Billy Ray was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Cornelius "Biscuit" Clements and Mary Alma Nally Clements, and three brothers Bobby, Joe Ben, and Connie.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Osborne; daughter Jennifer Stern (Mark Meinhart); sons Jeff Clements (Kelly) and Bobby Clements (Savannah); a sister, Mary Lee Price; his grandchildren, Henry, Evelyn, Mary Catherine and Molly Anne; and his faithful companion, Colsy.
His funeral Mass and interment will be Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Rose Priory in Springfield.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church Homecoming picnic committee in Springfield or St. Vincent de Paul Society of Bossier City, La.
