Allan was born on September 16, 1938 in Erial, New Jersey to Charles and Dorothea Pierson. He was the second of five children. He grew up in New Jersey and met the love of his life, Kathleen while she was still in high school. Allan and Kathleen were married on February 11, 1961 and had four daughters. In February of this year, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Allan moved his family to Colorado in 1972 and has resided in the Security/Widefield area ever since. He was an over-the-road truck driver for 40 years. After retiring he worked for Widefield School District 3 as a custodian.
Allan loved hunting, fishing, camping, vegetable gardening, all things outdoors, Indy cars, bull riding and old Westerns. He was a man of faith and loved God and his church family wholeheartedly. He was dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren and took great pride in his family.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents and a brother (Forrest). He is survived by his brothers Charles (Jeanne), Kenneth (Jean), sister Donna, sister-in-law Kathy and numerous extended family. He is also survived by his wife Kathleen, his children Kathy (Darryl) Matioda, Kimberly Olson, Kelly (Darren) Dees, Kristie (Branden) Martinez, “adopted” daughter Jeanne (Mike) Martin and ten grandchildren: Ashley (Daniel), Kelsey (Austin), Lee, Tanner, Regan, Jeslyn, Jaxon, Jenica, JamieLynn, and Myka.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 11am at Dove Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, CO 80817. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pikes Peak Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to this amazing organization.
