I will miss Uncle Claude's smiling face, big bear hugs, and awesome food! My favorite memory is one Christmas as a child, he was wearing a Santa hat and a had such a deep jolly laugh, I couldn't stop laughing myself!
More recently, I loved the cheer he brought to my father when he visited. The two of them can have a beer (or 3) in heaven together like they did decades ago!

Mr. Bishop (popsicle as my family called him) was a very special person. Especially to my mother (judy) and my Godmother (Mayre) He was a very kind and caring man.  I remember him most as a hugger, and wouldn't ever go without giving me or my brothers one the moment we walked in the door.  As my Mom's best friend since the 8th grade,  Mayre always included my Mom in walks to Popsicle's house. It was something special to the both of them. My Mom gave him haircuts all the time.  To her,  it was another way to spend time with him. Mayre would call mom anytime he ended up in the hospital,  and she would drop everything to go see him.  His death saddens many. He was a very special person to many, and will be greatly missed. R.I.P. Popsicle I love you

Be fruitful and multiply
Today I went threw my father-in-law's pictures what I saw was family, friends, neighbors. and people who struggle to become the next community of the same. heart's that are somehow interconnected thru struggle's in this life. the struggles may not have been God's original design but that's what we ended up with.

It was there he started with two hearts and he grew those outward. just as I saw in those pictures of great grandparents, grandparents to our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
add that to the people we meet along the way in our life's 
that seems to be where God places his real values one small community at a time

I can't call him Claude or Mr. Bishop. He is Popsicle to me. I know he is with Mrs. Bishop and our heavenly father now and he is no longer hurting. I love him and will miss him very much.

Mr. Bishop was a very caring man.  He would make special dishes for individual people at Christmas and Thanksgiving just to make them happy.  He was so Selfless!  He is greatly missed!

mr bishop was very dear friend to me and my husband  love sitting on his porch talking  for hours love the stories he told I chearish  the time he spent time at are wedding he love talking to my husband even tho my husband deaf my husband enjoyed him so much evey min he was at his house  he will allways be in are hearts we love  u  mr bishop  this from Daniel I love claude bishop very great friend remember 6year hi say how me good and special and funny talking in house walking with me he special good friend to me I miss him.

Claude Bishop is the father of my very special friend Mayree. I knew Claude for many years and whenever I saw him he was always so kind and always made me feel that I was a very dear person to him. I remember him with a giving heart and a twinkle in his eye. He was a fantastic cook and he was always wanting me to try something that he had made. He was always so excited to share with everyone.  
The one thing that I remember most is how he always talked to me about Mayree, his daughter. Whenever I saw him, he would tell me how much she always did for him and for others. He was very proud of her. I know that he was proud of his son Christopher too.  
Even though we cry at your passing, we will also rejoice in having known you, the man that you molded yourself to be through the years ..in God's image.  
I pray for peace and strength during this time of sorrow for your family and friends.

I only knew Mr. Bishop from a few short encounters, but as I recall those times, these are the images of him that remain with me:
welcoming...  kind...   sharing what little he had with a stranger...  longsuffering...  persevering in love...  embracing what life offered him with patience and a thoughtful smile.
May all who grieve at your passing be surrounded and filled with the love of the family and friends of those whose lives you touched.
