OBITUARY

David-Andrew J Williams

December 21, 1968July 8, 2020

David -Andrew J. Williams (A.J), was born on December 21, 1964 in Manhattan New York. Child of Nora E. Williams and the late David A. Gilliam Jr. David loved his family especially his mommy. He was caring, loving and friendly to all he encountered. On July 8, 2020 at 11:42 am, David unexpectedly left us. This was a sad day for all of us. His spirit has went home to live with our Savior Jesus Christ. David leaves behind nine sisters, three brothers and one son. David was born and raised in New York City. He lived in the Bronx, and Queens. He graduated from John Bowne High School in 1982. In 2007, he attended Queensbrough Community College studying Psychology. He worked in the medical transportation field. He received the nickname "Colorado" from his New York family in the 1990's because he always visited his family in Colorado. In 2018, he officially moved to Colorado to be with his family. He loved people and loved to talk. He was never afraid to try anything. He always made an effort to stay in contact friend and family. David leaves to mourn: his mother Nora Williams, his only child Demond Williams, his aunts Jean, Ruth, and Sylvia, his uncles Chuck and Henry, nine sisters: Lorraine Frye, Deanna Chopin, Sandra Burks, Tracey Gilliam, Desiree Mack, Estelle Gilliam, Laura Williams, Nicole Williams, and Natalie Williams. Three brothers David Gilliam II (Peanut), David Gilliam IV (Cookieman), and Sean Williams. He has 42 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, and an enormous amount of cousins and friends. Those who preceded him in death is his father David A. Gilliam, his brothers David Gilliam I (Pudgee) and Burton D. Gilliam (Poodie) and his nephew Chad A. Ellis A special thanks to his home attendant and friend Sandra for taking care of him. His friend Chris. Cherryl Nation for saving his life when he fell sick and her daughter Shavonna Williams for being there through all circumstances for years. His son's mother Sharelle Correnti for her effort to be here and for helping to bring everything together. Her son, our brother, your uncle, cousin and friend is at peace. He does not have to endure pain or sickness anymore. 1 Thessalonians 4:14, ESV: "For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep."
