I’ve been thinking about you so much lately. Well really every day since you left us. You were my hero, the person I looked up to, really my first father. You took better care of me than anyone did. I always think about our days together looking over property magazines, dreaming of owning big maroon suvs and dancing to country music. I miss playing with your thick brown hair. Combing it funny ways and putting a million barrettes in it. I miss deep cleaning the house with you and walking to 7/11 for pickles and soda. I feel your presence all the time. If I’m ever hurting or losing myself I can feel your hand on my shoulder telling me to be strong. I know it was your time but I wish you would have said goodbye. My heart hurts knowing that you’ll never meet my children.  I know you are in a better place. I love you. 

I miss you so much. everyday seems to get harder. i feel so alone. everything i do reminds me of you. but when i look at our son dustin, i see you. and in andreas eyes and our grandchildrens eyes. and it makes me even more sad. you did so much for us all and we all miss you so much. all my love always. and i too hope you are happy and without pain.

I really miss him.He spoiled me to death and he really loved me and everybody in my family.My grandma crys allmost every second wishing that she could rewind that day.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to know Dave and see firsthand his love and dedication to his family. He loved you all with everything he had in him and he lived his life for all of you. My deepest sympathies always.

my true love. my one and only forever. my heart is so broken. i can not explain the pain i feel because you are not here with me. its been 3 weeks today since you left us. i miss you every second. dave loved ALL his children. and ALL his grandchildren. and all our adopted children and grandchildren that have been in our lives. i know he loved me with all his heart and soul. and i do him... i love you more than you will ever know!!!!

He was a great man. He fell in love with my mom long ago when she already had four children of her own. Through the years he treated us as his own and loved his family very much. Especially his grandchildren, some who will never get the privilage of knowing him. He was strong, wasn't afraid to let anyone know what was on his mind. And wasn't afraid to stand up to anyone who he felt was wrong. He was smart, he always knew the outcome of our actions before hand and tried to steer us in the right direction. I can't beleive you're gone so soon. I wish I could've seen you one more time before you left us. I miss you so much dad and I always will. Until we meet again, my big fish in the sky.

I don't have many memories to share, but I do remember him taking my sister and I outside the night of Grandpa Campbell's funeral and trying to explain heaven to us as small children.  He pointed up to the stars in the night sky and told us that one of those stars was Grandpa, and that now Grandpa is watching over us from heaven.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Today as you grieve, may you find some comfort in knowing that Dave is now looking over you from above.

It's been so many years and the memories are faint but we are connected and always will be, there's an overwhelming sense of familiarity when I look into the mirror and see your eyes staring back at me. I'm sorry for the pain you felt and the challenges you endured in your life. As I reflect, I am reminded of a conversation that took place nearly thirty years ago... "when I look into the night sky, I will be looking for the brightest star!"

Mary, I was so sorry to hear about Dave. May you find strength with your family and May God Bless all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
