

David Leland Hyson, age 57, passed away February 26, 2011 with his family by his side. He had battled multiple myeloma for seven years. He was born July 12, 1953 to
William and Thelma (Sullenberger) Hyson in Morgantown, West
Virginia. They survive.
David traveled to Germany as a child. He attended school in
point Marion, Pennsylvania and Fort Richardson, Alaska. He
graduated from wide field High school in 1971. He worked in
landscaping for a number of years and then was employed by
Fittje Brothers printing.
David loved bowling, basketball, camping, boating, and
fishing. He built numerous pinewood Derby cars with his
nieces and nephews.
David's biggest passion was his 1964 Stingray corvette. He
spent many hours rebuilding and polishing his car. He
enjoyed entering the car in shows.
David was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew
him.
He is survived by his siblings Bill (Amy Margolies)
Hyson, Irene (Glen) Higgins, and Margaret Hyson. A brother
James preceded him in death.
His nieces and nephews include Lara Taylor, James (Deanne)
Taylor, Amanda (Jeremey) Rollin, Zachary (Sarah) Taylor,
Glen Higgins, and Emily Higgins. Great nephews and nieces
include Toby Rollin, Isaac Rollin, Arabella Rollin,
zachariah Taylor, and Cheyenne Taylor.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 13,
2011, at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 s. us Highway 85/87
in Fountain, CO. services will be held at the same location
at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011. The Rev George Carson
of Springfield, MO will officiate. Cremation will occur on
March 14, 2011, and David will be placed with his brother
James in Evergreen Cemetery.
