David Olemeda

March 24, 1932 - July 15, 2014

David Olemeda of Fountain,Colorado, passed away on July 15, 2014.

He was born in Florence, Colorado on March 24, 1932 to parents Trinidad and Domingo Olemeda.

He married Maria (Romero) Olemeda, on December 21, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico.

David entered the Navy in 1950 and served until 1954. He worked at the United States Air Force Academy

for 32 years, until his retirement in 1987.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maria Olemeda of Fountain, daughter Theresa Gonzalez of Colorado Springs,

daughter Roxanne Massey of Helena Montana, son David Olemeda of Colorado Springs,

Daughter Dianna Moya of Denver, Colorado, son Daniel Olemeda (Anthony Stamper) of Denver,

Colorado and daughter Kim Shatteen (Cedrick Shatteen) of Monument, Colorado. He is also survived by

numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a sister-in-law Elma Martinez of Denver, Colorado

and a brother-in-law Gilbert Romero (Margaret) of Eaton, CO.

Memorial Service will be held at Dove Witt Family Mortuary at 10:00 AM, Saturday July 19, 2014.
