Deborah K Mascitelli, 73, passed away on May 31, 2026. A resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Deborah will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who were fortunate to know her.
Born on March 23, 1953, Deborah carried through life the steady grace of someone who cherished lasting bonds. One of the earliest and most meaningful of those bonds was a life-long friendship with her best friend, Nadine Augustine, whom she met in grade school—an enduring connection that reflected the loyal and kind-hearted spirit that remained present throughout her years.
Deborah devoted herself to her home and family as a homemaker, and her brightest joy was caring for her grandchildren. In countless everyday moments, her love was made visible through patient attention, gentle encouragement, and the quiet strength of someone who put others first. She was a beloved presence in her family’s life, consistently supporting her children in school and in their extracurricular activities, showing up with steadfast care and unwavering pride.
Deborah is survived by her spouse, Carmen John Mascitelli Jr; her children, Heather Wall (Dan), Michael Mascitelli (Amber), and CJ (Carmen John III); and her grandchildren, Logan, Brayden, Morgan, Daryn, and Jackson.
Deborah found joy in simple pleasures and shared enthusiasms—especially sports, with a particular love for baseball. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and the beauty they brought to everyday life, reflecting the gentle warmth she offered so naturally to those around her.
Those closest to Deborah will especially hold dear the tender tradition she shared with her grandchildren: she always sang “You Are My Sunshine” to her grandkids, a small refrain that carried a lifetime of devotion and love.
