Donna was born on April 2, 1956, in Seattle, Washington, to Dorothy and Walter Herrigel. She married the love of her life, Larry Kawcak, on May 5, 1979, in Denver, Colorado. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
A devoted Christian, Donna’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Kawcak; her children, Sara (Mike), Shawn (Michael), and Laura (Shaney); her cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Walter Herrigel; her brother, Bruce Herrigel; her sister, Wendy Laws; and her stepson, Wayne Kawcak.
Donna had a warm heart and a gentle spirit. She found happiness in getting lost in a good book, sharing laughter over a good margarita, and spending time with the people she loved. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, quiet strength, generous heart, and the love she poured into her family.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Donna is at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the lives she touched, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
