Elvira Maria (Duncan) Funny, 85, of Security, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, at 1:35 a.m., surrounded by family. Born in Panama to William Joseph Waite, she was lovingly raised by Ethel Lucas and Mama Lucas. She was the devoted wife of George Allen “Tiger George” Funny and the loving mother of Anthony, Christopher, Brenda, and James. She was grandmother to Ryan, Tyler, Delano, Christopher, Devon, Ayron, Mikey, Matthew, Brianna, Elias, Evander, and Kingston, and great-grandmother to Amiyah and Ryan. She is survived by her sister Mola, and was preceded in death by her brother Wilbur and sisters Victoria and Gertie. A master pastry chef at The Broadmoor for over 20 years, her work served three U.S. Presidents. She also taught culinary arts at Pikes Peak Community College, earned certification in hairstyling, served with the Red Cross, and found joy in plants, flowers, and gardening.
