He joined the Navy in October of 1955 were he served his career as a Boatswain's Mate.
His is preceded in death by his wife Della Alvey. He is survived by his two sons Gordon Jr. and Reginald Alvey.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary. Funeral Service will be Monday 10:00 am at Awaking's Church
